Four basic Language skills

Four Basic Language Skills
When we learn a language, there are four skills that we need for complete communication. When we learn our native language, we usually learn to listen first, then to speak, then to read, and finally to write. These are called the four "language skills":

 Definitons:-

* Speaking is the productive skill in the oral mode. It, like the other skills, is more complicated than it seems at first and involves more than just pronouncing words.

* Reading is specific abilities which enable a reader to read the written form as meaningful language to read. To read anything written with independence, comprehension and fluency. To mentally interact with the message.

*  Writing is a method of representing language in visual or tactile form. Writing systems use sets of symbols to represent the sounds of speech, and may also have symbols for such things as punctuation and numerals.

*  Listening is a skill that can be improved with practice and there are many rewards for developing your ability to listen.
