Traditional houses in Oman

1. Barasti house :

This type of house was made of palm branches and it is near the sea. It was quite cool inside because the sea air came through the palm branches. Many years ago, this type of house traditional in Batinah coast.

2. Round house:

This type of house was made of stone walls with a roof made of wood and grass. It didn't has window and it was cool in summer and warm in winter. Many years ago, this type of house traditional in Jabel Qara in Dhofar.

3. Bait Al.qufl:

This type of house was made of large stone and had thick walls. It had a flat roof made of wood and soil. the house didn't have any windows and only had small doors. This made the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Many years ago, this type of house traditional in Musandam.
